The Queen Creek Police Department (QCPD) is proud to announce the appointment of its first Assistant Chief of Police, Noah Johnson. “This milestone reflects our commitment to leadership excellence, community engagement, and continued organizational growth,” stated QCPD Chief Randy Brice.

“I am honored to step into this role as QCPD’s first Assistant Chief of Police,” stated QCPD Assistant Chief Noah Johnson. “When I joined QCPD, I was excited about the rare opportunity to be part of a new department and help build it from the ground up. Helping shape the culture, working alongside the community, and creating something that reflects what the community wants has been incredibly rewarding. I want to thank our Mayor and Town Council, Chief Randy Brice, the department, and the Queen Creek community for trusting me in this role. I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to continuing to serve with dedication, integrity, and a strong commitment to community-based policing.”

Assistant Chief Johnson started his law enforcement career at 14 when he joined a cadet program with Tempe Police, solidifying his career path. Prior to becoming a police officer, Noah served as a correctional officer and jailer. During his 25 years with the Tempe Police Department, Noah was honored to serve in every bureau and retired at the commander rank. After retiring, Noah worked for the Kyrene School District as their Safety and Security Coordinator, working with teachers and principals on the front line of education.

Noah joined the Queen Creek Police Department in 2020 as a lieutenant, was promoted to commander in 2023, and now steps into the role of Assistant Chief. His advancement reflects his strong leadership and dedication to the department’s mission.

Noah and his wife served in the foster care system as mentors for pregnant teens. In addition to their own children and grandchildren, they have been lucky enough to add many more children and grandchildren into their lives.
