The Town of Queen Creek is offering financial incentives to help homeowners save water and transform their high-water-use grass lawns into desert-friendly landscaping.
Qualified homeowners within the Town of Queen Creek municipal boundaries may receive $2 per square foot or 75% of total project costs, whichever is less, to remove turf and install low-water-use landscaping. Incentives are available up to $5,000 per property, with a minimum of 500 square feet required to participate.
Artificial turf is allowed up to a limit of 1,000 square feet, but the entire landscaped area must still meet the required 30% plant canopy density. Residents can check if their homes are located within the Town's municipal boundary by visiting QueenCreekAZ.gov/DoILiveinQC.
In order to participate in the program, residents must submit an online application including property information, photos, an aerial map, and a basic landscape plan. Applicants may be required to complete a pre and post-inspection by water conservation staff to verify that the landscape meets all program requirements before receiving the rebate.

Water Efficient Technology Incentive & Assessment Program
Additionally, the Town of Queen Creek is offering financial incentives to help businesses, HOAs, and commercial properties upgrade to water-efficient technologies. Qualified non-residential water customers within the Town of Queen Creek’s municipal boundaries can receive up to 50% of equipment costs to upgrade water-using technologies (max $20,000 per property). The program covers smart irrigation controllers, cooling tower monitoring systems, submeters, and other qualifying water efficiency technologies. Property managers will be required to submit an application on the Town of Queen Creek website and complete a pre and a post-inspection by conservation staff to verify that the project meets all program requirements before receiving the rebate.
Projects for both programs must be completed by March 1, 2026, however, funding is limited and incentives are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Funding for both programs is provided by the Water Infrastructure Finance Authority’s (WIFA) Water Conservation Grant Fund (WCGF) with a purpose to conserve Arizona’s water supply by facilitating projects that reduce water use, increase water use efficiency, and improve water reliability.
