The Town of Queen Creek offers a free, self-serve Christmas tree drop-off Friday, Dec. 26, through Friday, Jan. 9, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. The self-service drop-off area is located at the QC Recycle Center, 22179 E Ryan Rd.
All lights, decorations, and ornaments must be removed before dropping off. Only live Christmas trees will be accepted.
Collected trees are chipped and used as roadside cover at Waste Connections’ landfill for dust control.
Bulk Trash
Town trash and recycling customers can also schedule a bulk pick-up for their tree at no additional cost by visiting QueenCreekAZ.gov/BulkTrash. When scheduling a bulk pickup online, residents should select “Other Items” and then “Christmas Tree.”
Christmas trees must be cut down to four-foot lengths for the safety of our bulk pickup drivers. Christmas trees do not have to be bagged, bundled, and tied like other yard debris.
Christmas trees must be cut down to a shorter length for bulk trash pickup because long logs pose a significant risk of entanglement in the truck's mechanisms, potentially resulting in projectiles that could cause serious injury to the driver or nearby individuals.
Cooking Oil Recycling
Christmas is also a great time to take advantage of the Town’s free cooking oil recycling program. The used oil is collected and turned into clean biodiesel fuel. Collection containers are available year-round at the Queen Creek Recycle Center and Fire Station 2 located at 24787 S. Sossaman Road. Visit QueenCreekAZ.gov/CookingOil to learn more about the program.
QC Recycles Event
The Town is also offering a free recycling drop-off event on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026. Electronics, paint, appliances and more can be recycled at the event. For more information and to register, please visit www.QueenCreekAZ.gov/Recycle.
