In honor of America’s semiquincentennial, the Town of Queen Creek will be celebrating with activities and programs that help recognize the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Throughout 2026, the Town will encourage participation in a variety of events and programs that honor the history of our nation, celebrate our great state, and highlight the unique story of our own Town.

The 2026 class of the
Citizen Leadership Institute, the Town’s civic leadership program, is working on projects reflecting the Town’s history that will be shared through visual and audio presentation.
Celebrate our equestrian roots by bringing the family to the 15th annual
Roots n’ Boots Queen Creek, March 17 - 22 at Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Centre. You can also send a postcard to a loved one near or far through the Roots n’ Boots

As the Town once again celebrates
Constitution Week, students will be encouraged to join the Constitution Week Contest by sharing the importance of the last 250 years. And the community will be encouraged to come together in song for the Constitution Week Concert this fall.

America250 is an opportunity to not only celebrate the milestone anniversary of our country, but gather as a community!
Join the Town at
What’s Poppin’ in QC on June 2 at the Queen Creek Recreation Center to learn about what’s happening throughout Town, all while enjoying free popcorn and special this year, cake pops for America250!
America’s Potluck will be taking place nationwide on July 5. We encourage you to join your neighbors, get your friends together and plan a gathering to celebrate.

Sign up with
QC Volunteers to contribute to volunteer opportunities in the town throughout the year! The Town will be joining
Global Youth Service Day with service opportunities in the month of April and will be tracking all service hours through
AmericaGives.
Encourage a student to participate in
America’s Field Trip, a nationwide contest that invites students in 3rd-12th grades to share their perspectives through art with submissions on “What does America mean to you?” 250 students across the country will win prizes. Applications are due March 30.
