The Founders’ Park Dog Park is officially open. Located at 22407 S. Ellsworth Road, the new dog park offers shade structures, seating options and separate entrances for large and timid dogs.

“This addition to Founders’ Park is also more than a place for dogs to play - it helps neighbors connect, encourages people to spend time outdoors, and strengthens the sense of community that makes our town such an amazing place. Providing a quality lifestyle is one of the commitments outlined in our Corporate Strategic Plan, and this certainly aligns with that commitment,” Queen Creek Mayor Julia Wheatley shared. “Queen Creek was recently ranked as one of the top 25 dog-loving cities, which is fitting as we saw all the smiling faces and wagging tails as we came together to celebrate the new dog park this morning.”
The entrance to the large dog area is on the east side of the park, with parking available in the Aldecoa lot. The south parking lot is recommended for the small / timid area.

The park also includes waste stations and clear signage to encourage responsible pet ownership. Visitors are reminded to keep dogs leashed when entering and exiting the dog park, clean up after their pets, and ensure all dogs are properly licensed.
Founders’ Park Dog Park is open daily, 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Learn more information about Queen Creek parks.
The Founders’ Park Dog Park replaces Pocket Park for Pups, a temporary dog park that has served the community since 2014. Pocket Park for Pups is officially closed and will be the site of the future police headquarters.
