The Town of Queen Creek will be honoring Constitution Week from Sept. 13 - 23. The Town will join the national effort to unify the community around our foundation and the freedoms we enjoy in this great country.
Student contest
Queen Creek students are invited to participate in the Constitution Week Art & Poetry Contest.
- Open to schools within the Town of Queen Creek municipal boundaries
- Accepting submissions Aug. 1 - 21
- Students are encouraged to submit one of the following:
- Patriotic Poem
- Piece of art that represents the Constitutional Timeline
To enter, please fill out the entry form and drop it off at the Town of Queen Creek Municipal Services Building (22358 S. Ellsworth Road). Winners will be announced at the Sept. 17 Town Council meeting, with selected entries displayed at Founders' Day on Sept. 20. Prizes will be provided to top entries by local businesses; Dave & Busters, Fat Cats and Pecan Lake Entertainment Center.
"Land That I Love" Constitution Concert & Celebration
Join high schools from throughout Queen Creek and special guest lecturer Steven Collis on Saturday, Sept. 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the Queen Creek Performing Arts Center to celebrate Constitution Week with a concert and celebration. Guests will enjoy musical performances from high school students and will hear from one of the nation’s leading experts on the First Amendment.
Join us at Founders' Day on Sept. 20 and visit with Town Council and staff at the Constitution Booth and participate in the Founder's Fashion Gallop.
