The Queen Creek Emergency Communications Group (ECG) monthly meetings are on the second Thursday of every month at 7 PM.  The meetings are generally held at the Queen Creek Historic Town Hall, 22350 S. Ellsworth Rd.  Please confirm date, time and location by emailing ECG@queencreekaz.gov

A Weekly On-Air Training Net takes place every Sunday at 8 PM.

The ECG also leverages its communications assets for non-emergency events including emergency preparedness fairs, Spring Into QC, Founders’ Day, and QC Hometown Christmas.

In 2009, the Queen Creek Town Council appointed a Disaster Management Committee to develop a Disaster Response Plan. This plan included the use of citizen communicators to provide communications support to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), command centers, shelters, and field response teams.

The communicators would be recruited citizens that were subsequently trained and licensed as ham radio operators. Additional training, provided by experienced radio operators, resulted in proficiency with emergency communications, known as EmComm.

The resulting collection of trained and licensed volunteers, along with the experienced ham radio operators, was organized in 2011 as the  Emergency Communications Group.
