 QCFMD ambulance and fire engine

To ensure consistency and high-quality emergency services, the Queen Creek Fire and Medical Department expanded their emergency transportation services (ambulance services) in 2023.

The Town’s ambulance service includes a unit at each of the Town’s five fire stations. Four of the units are fully staffed, providing 24/7 coverage and flexible deployment to optimize response times. Ambulance staffing includes two employees: one EMT- paramedic and one EMT-basic.QCFMD ambulance

The Town’s ambulance service did not result in a tax increase. Fees for service offset a portion of the cost, and the remaining costs are funded by the Town’s operating budget.

In 2016, the Town received its Certificate of Necessity (CON) from AZDHS, who oversees ambulance services throughout the state, to provide emergency transportation services.

Fees for the Town’s ambulance service are regulated by AZDHS. Patients who use the Town’s ambulance service will receive a bill from the Town (in lieu of the bill that is currently issued by the private provider).
