What is a Transportation Safety Action Plan?

A Transportation Safety Action Plan (TSAP) is a way to prioritize safety improvements and justify future transportation investment decisions. A TSAP is a comprehensive safety plan aimed at reducing and eliminating serious injury and fatal crashes affecting all roadway users including pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists, personal conveyance and micro-mobility users, and commercial vehicle operators. A formal plan helps communicate more clearly how the Town will promote safety on local roadways and will assist in pursuing future funding opportunities.
