The Board of Adjustment hears and decides on appeals for variances from the terms of the Zoning Ordinance. 

Encourages arts in the downtown core, helps strategically shape the physical and social character of the area, while supporting the image and identity objective within the quality lifestyle priority identified in the Towns Corporate Strategic Plan. Members have experience in the creation, exhibition, curation or management of art.

Council Liaisons: Leah Martineau & Robin Benning (alternate)

Assists staff on updating and revising the Queen Creek Strategic Plan for Economic Development (ED) and other policy matters affecting economic development and Town Center issues. Evaluates impacts to land use and certain aesthetic infrastructure elements.

Council Liaisons: Jeff Brown & Bryan McClure (alternate)

This program was developed to provide teens with a voice - participating students will not only meet and discuss current issues facing Queen Creek teens, but will work together with our Queen Creek Town Council and community to develop solutions and create engagement among the youth in our Town.

Council Liaisons: Dawn Oliphant & Leah Martineau (alternate)

Acts in an advisory capacity to the Town Council in the development and continuing review of goals and objectives for Queen Creeks parks, trails and open spaces as well as recreational programs and events.

Council Liaisons: Travis Padilla & Bryan McClure (alternate)

Advises the Town Council on the General Plan, the Zoning Ordinance and applications for development, including all applications for subdivision site plans, specific plans and phased and conditional use permit applications.

Term: 3 Years

Responsible for deciding all questions of eligibility for membership, disability and in the line of duty death benefits under the Plan, applicable to sworn employees of Queen Creek Fire & Medical.

Pursuant to statute, the Board is composed of the Mayor of Queen Creek (or their designee), two members elected by employees of the respective Departments, and two citizens appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the Town Council.

Responsible for deciding all questions of eligibility for membership, disability and in the line of duty death benefits under the Plan, applicable to sworn employees of Queen Creek Police.

Pursuant to statute, the Board is composed of the Mayor of Queen Creek (or their designee), two members elected by employees of the respective Departments, and two citizens appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the Town Council.

The Transportation Advisory Committee reviews the Towns transportation planning efforts (including the Capital Improvement Program), are ambassadors to our residents on all things related to transportation, and provides recommendations to the Town Council on those matters.
