A recap of what your Town Council has been up to during the month of January. 

Gulfstream at Mesa Gateway Airport held its ribbon cutting on Jan. 9, with  Mayor Wheatley providing remarks as Chair of the Mesa Gateway Airport Authority Board. Council Members Brown, McClure and Padilla also attended.

Three incumbent council members were ceremonially sworn-in at the Jan. 15 Town Council Meeting.

 Council Members Jeff Brown, Robin Benning and Leah Martineau were also sworn-in to begin new four-year terms. Council Member Martineau was also appointed to serve a 1-year term as Vice Mayor.

At the Jan. 15 Town Council Meeting, the Town recognized January as Trafficking Prevention Month. They welcomed the Arizona Anti-Trafficking Network and recognized QCPD Detectives.

Mayor Wheatley participated in a Mayor's roundtable with the Greater Phoenix Economic Council on Jan. 16 in Phoenix. Mayor Wheatley serves on the GPEC Board of Directors. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On Jan. 22 the San Tan Historical Society hosted a ribbon cutting of its new signage at the Desert Wells Stage Stop. Mayor Wheatley provided remarks and Council Members Brown and McClure also participated in the ribbon cutting.

Town Council held its annual strategic planning session Jan. 24 & 25 in Queen Creek. As part of the strategic planning session, Council toured the Queen Creek Recreation and Aquatic Center and the future Queen Creek Public Safety Training Facility.
