A recap of what your Town Council has been up to during the month of January.

The Town opened the Gail A. Barney Public Safety Support Facility on Jan. 21. Mayor Wheatley provided remarks and the full council was in attendance to celebrate.

At the Jan. 21 Town Council Meeting, Bryan McClure was appointed to serve as the Town's new Vice Mayor for a one-year term, ending in Jan. 2027.

The Town Council also issued a proclamation in honor of Human Trafficking Prevention Month at the Jan. 21 Town Council Meeting. Mayor Wheatley, Vice Mayor McClure and Council Members Benning, Brown, Martineau, Oliphant and Padilla presented the proclamation to representatives from Not in our City and the Maricopa County Attorney's Office.

The Queen Creek Town Council held its annual Strategic Planning Session, Jan. 29 - 31. As part of the planning session, Council participated in a tour of the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station near Buckeye.
