A recap of what your Town Council has been up to during the month of March. 

At the March 4 Town Council Meeting, Mayor Wheatley, Vice Mayor McClure and Council Members Brown, Martineau, Oliphant and Padilla recognized Queen Creek's Procurement Division in honor of Procurement Month.

The Town Council also recognized Roots n' Boots Week and honored Friends of Horseshoe Park and the Roots n' Boots Committee for their 15 year-anniversary.

On March 6 Mayor Wheatley joined other members of the Maricopa Association of Governments Transportation Policy Committee at the Prop 479 groundbreaking which commemorated the next 20 years of transportation infrastructure.

Vice Mayor McClure celebrated Read Across America Week with a visit to Ms. Onofre's 2nd grade class at Katherine Mecham Barney Elementary School on March 9.

Vice Mayor McClure attended and spoke at the the ribbon cutting for the Queen Creek Family Care Center on March 11.

On March 11, Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Centre celebrated two ribbon cuttings. Mayor Wheatley, Vice Mayor McClure and Council Members Benning, Brown and Oliphant attended the ribbon cutting for the new Earnhardt digital display sign and the Barney Family Pavilion.

The Queen Creek Recreation and Aquatic Center celebrated its one-year anniversary with a birthday party on March 14. Mayor Wheatley, Vice Mayor McClure and Council Members Benning and Oliphant attended to celebrate.

Vice Mayor McClure participated in a tour of the Waste Connections of Arizona Facility in Apache Junction on March 17.

At the March 18 Town Council Meeting, the Town Council recognized the Queen Creek 4-H Club.

The Town held the grand opening of the new Founders' Park Dog Park on March 21. Mayor Wheatley, Vice Mayor McClure and Council Members Benning, Brown, Martineau and Oliphant attended to cut the ribbon on the new park.

Roots n' Boots Queen Creek took place March 17 - 22 at Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Centre. The Town Council attended rodeo events throughout the week and Mayor Wheatley, Vice Mayor McClure and Council Members Benning, Brown, Oliphant and Padilla participated in a wagon ride on Saturday, March 21.

Spring into QC was held at Frontier Family Park on Saturday, March 28. Mayor Wheatley, Vice Mayor McClure and Council Members Benning, Martineau and Oliphant attended to participate in activities and introduce the egg hunts.
