A recap of what your Town Council has been up to during the month of May. 

At the May 6 Town Council Meeting, the Town Council recognized a Star Teacher. This annual recognition is an opportunity for each school in Queen Creek to nominate one student and one teacher for success throughout the school year.

Mayor Wheatley, Vice Mayor McClure and Council Members Benning, Brown, Martineau and Oliphant also recognized the Casteel High School Football Team and Girls' Soccer Team for their recent State Championship victories.

The Queen Creek Town Clerk's office was recognized for receiving a Granicus Digital Government Operational Excellence Award.

Queen Creek Police Department held a Coffee with a Cop event at Switch Brews on May 16 and Vice Mayor McClure attended to support.

Mayor Wheatley met with a young Queen Creek foreign exchange student, visiting from Spain, on May 19. The student provided Mayor with a flag from his home town.

Vice Mayor McClure and Council Members Brown and Oliphant attended the 10th Annual Memorial Day Service at San Tan Memorial Gardens, where Vice Mayor McClure provided remarks.
