A recap of what your Town Council has been up to during the month of November.
At the Nov. 5 Town Council Meeting, Vice Mayor Martineau and Council Members Benning, McClure Oliphant and Padilla recognized the Town's Economic Development and Finance Departments for awards they had recently received from statewide and national organizations.
LG Energy Solutions provided the Town of Queen Creek with a donation of $50,000 for public safety and downtown holiday lighting. LG representatives made a presentation to the Council at the Nov. 5 Meeting.
The Town Council also promoted the upcoming Light the World Giving Machine location at Pecan Lake Entertainment Center.
Council Member Oliphant attended Arizona Women Leading Government Nov. 6 and 7 in Phoenix. Several members of Queen Creek Town Staff were also in attendance.
Queen Creek held its annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, Nov. 8 at Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Centre. Vice Mayor Martineau and Council Members Benning and Oliphant served pancakes at the event. Council Member Padilla also attended.
Vice Mayor Martineau and Council Members Benning and Oliphant attended the Queen Creek Annual Interfaith Gratitude Gathering on Nov. 9.
Vice Mayor Martineau and Council Members Oliphant and Padilla attended the Veterans Day Celebration at San Tan Memorial Gardens on Nov. 11. Vice Mayor provided remarks.
The Queen Creek Senior Program held its annual Thanksgiving Luncheon on Nov. 12. Council Members served food alongside volunteers. Vice Mayor Martineau and Council Members Oliphant and Padilla attended the luncheon.
Light the World held a ribbon cutting for the Queen Creek Giving Machines on Nov. 19 at Pecan Lake Entertainment Center, with Vice Mayor Martineau and Council Members Benning, Brown, McClure, Oliphant and Padilla in attendance. Council also made a visit on Nov. 24.
