A recap of what your Town Council has been up to during the month of October. 

At the Oct. 1 Town Council Meeting, Vice Mayor Martineau and Council Members Benning, Brown, McClure and Oliphant recognized neighborhoods that were finalists for the QC Neighborly Award and announced Encanterra as the 2025 winner.

The Town Council also issued a proclamation in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month at the Oct. 1 meeting.

On Oct. 7, the Target Vineyard Towne Center held its Very Important Guest (VIG) event. Council Member McClure attended and provided remarks.

At the Oct. 15 Town Council Meeting, Council Members Benning, Brown, McClure, Oliphant and Padilla recognized long-serving Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee Members, honoring them for their many years on the Committee.

The Town Council also proclaimed Oct. 23 - 31 as Red Ribbon Week and presented a copy of the proclamation to the East Valley Young Marines.

For our Town Queen Creek held its quarterly meeting on Oct. 16 at Caldwell County BBQ. Council Member McClure provided welcome remarks.

Mesa Gateway Airport held the groundbreaking for FlightSafety International Mesa Learning Center on Oct. 21. As a Mesa Gateway Airport Authority Board Member, Council Member Brown participated in the groundbreaking.

America First Credit Union held a ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of its new location at Queen Creek and Signal Butte Roads. Council Member McClure provided welcome remarks and participated in the ribbon cutting.

Arizona State University held a grand opening for its Polytechnic Innovation Zone at the Mesa Polytechnic Campus on Oct 24. Council Member Oliphant briefly met with Governor Hobbs at the event.
