A recap of what your Town Council has been up to during the month of September.
At the Sept. 3 Town Council Meeting, Vice Mayor Martineau and Council Members Benning, Brown, McClure, Oliphant and Padilla proclaimed Sept. 30 as Reconnect Queen Creek Day, in coordination with the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce and For our Town.
The Town Council also recognized Queen Creek Economic Development Director Doreen Cott for being named as one of the Top 25 Most Influential Women by AZBig Media.
At the Sept. 3 Town Council Meeting, Vice Mayor and Council Members also welcomed the Town's first attorney, Cliff Mattice.
On Sept. 4, Council Member McClure attended the Queen Creek Unified School District Lead out Loud Conference.
The Golden Rule Awards Celebration was held in Tempe on Sept. 4. Council Member McClure attended with other community members.
As part of National Day of Service, JustServe Queen Creek held a preparedness fair and community event at Benjamin Franklin High School on Sept. 13. Council Members McClure and Padilla attended.
The "Land that I Love" Constitution Week Concert & Celebration was held on Sept. 13, with Vice Mayor Martineau and Council Member McClure attending. Council Member McClure also emceed the event.
On Sept. 15, Council Member McClure attended the MY DR NOW ribbon cutting at Power and Queen Creek Roads.
At the Sept. 17 Town Council Meeting, Vice Mayor Martineau and Council Members Benning, Brown and McClure recognized Constitution Day and the winners of the 2025 Constitution Week artwork and poetry contest.
Vice Mayor and Council Members also recognized the Queen Creek Budget Division for their 24th consecutive Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association at the Sept. 17 Town Council Meeting.
The Town Council proclaimed Sept. 15 - Oct. 15 as Hispanic Heritage Month. Vice Mayor Martineau and Council Members Benning, Brown and McClure presented the proclamation and recognized attendees from local dance company Ballet Folklorico La Llorona.
On Sept. 19, Council Member McClure attended the Ono Hawaiian BBQ ribbon cutting at Ellsworth and Queen Creek Roads.
Vice Mayor Martineau and Council Members Benning, McClure and Padilla attended the annual Founders' Day event on Sept. 20 at Frontier Family Park.
Vice Mayor Martineau and Council Member McClure oversaw the Constitution Week booth at the event.
Council Member McClure attended the Queen Creek Med Spa ribbon cutting on Sept. 22.
Council Members Benning and McClure attended Preston Lord Day in Chandler with QCPD Police Chief Brice and command staff.
Council Members Benning, Brown, McClure and Oliphant attended the Queen Creek Chamber Business Awards Dinner on Sept. 25.
Council Members Benning, McClure and Oliphant attended the Roots n' Boots Kickoff Dinner and Show at Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Centre on Sept. 27.
