Pavement Preservation Program 

As part of Queen Creek’s Pavement Preservation Program, the following activities are planned in the Madera community:

Lords Way and Roundup Way, west of 228th Street; and 226th Street, from Roundup Way to Lords Way in the Madera community are scheduled for a mill (asphalt removal) and asphalt pavement overlay to address current asphalt issues and provide a smoother driving surface.

Scheduled to take place Aug. 31, crews will pre-lower utilities, such as manholes and valves, to prevent damage during the milling process.

Scheduled to take place Sept. 8 – 9, crews will remove the existing asphalt surface from the roadway and repave the roads. Roads will remain open with flaggers on site to assist with the management of traffic. Impacted residents will receive a door hanger with confirmed dates and additional details prior to the milling and paving.

Following this work, scheduled for Sept. 21, crews will raise utilities to make them flush with the new road surface.

Access will be maintained to the extent possible; however, there will be restrictions as work crosses side streets and driveways. On-street parking will not be permitted, and “No Parking” signs will be placed in advance of work taking place. Vehicles left on the street may be towed.  Please have your trash and recycle carts out by 6 a.m. on collection days. In the event of inclement weather or resource availability issues, this work may be rescheduled and impacted residents will receive an updated door hanger.
