Home MenuQueen Creek’s 2025 Water Rate Increase
The Town of Queen Creek has approved a 15% increase in water rates, which equates to $3-$6 per month for most residential customers.
The approved increase impacts residential, commercial / HOA, construction meters, irrigation and multi-family.
The new rates became effective Aug. 27, 2025 and will be reflected on water bills moving forward. Sewer rates are not being impacted by this increase. Learn more about the sewer rate averaging, which become effective annually in July.
This is the first utility rate adjustment for residential customers in more than 15 years. System infrastructure improvements, rising costs for renewable water supply, and other essential services have driven the adjustment. This increase is the first step in a multi-phase process to align rates with the cost of providing safe, reliable, high-quality water — both now and for future generations.
By continuing to invest in our water utility services, the Town is building a stronger, more sustainable system that ensures long-term savings and generational stability. This approach supports all five of the Town’s strategic priorities: a secure future, superior infrastructure, effective government, a safe community, and a high-quality lifestyle.
The increase was approved following a public hearing on July 16, 2025 at the Town Council Meeting.

Investing in Water Infrastructure
Over the past 15 years, the Town has made significant investments to ensure a reliable and sustainable water supply while keeping rates low.
Queen Creek’s utility rates remain among the lowest in the East Valley for most residential customers, even with this necessary rate adjustment.
You can estimate your new monthly water cost using the calculator below — be sure to have a recent utility bill handy. If you don’t have a paper bill readily available, you can access one online at QueenCreekAZ.gov/PayMyBill.
The water calculator will not work for hydrant or irrigation customers. However, these customers can estimate their new rate by multiplying their current water rate by 1.15 (current rate × 1.15).
Diversified Water Service Area customers will not see a rate increase, so the calculator does not apply to them.
